> Seventh, regarding hearing the Dharma and attaining compliant patience, this has two parts: first, the benefit of attaining compliant patience; second, unloosing the precious robes to make an offering in repayment of kindness. If explained according to the Perfect teaching, regarding compliant patience: "compliant" means supple and subduing, which is the stage of the iron wheel of the ten faiths, with the six sense faculties purified; if one arouses true illumination and enters the principle, one immediately attains the patience of non-arising. Unloosing the robes to make an offering has two parts: first, making the offering; second, making a vow to perform the offering of Dharma, requesting that majesty and divine power confer protection so that he may subdue enemies and proclaim and circulate the Great Dharma.
