- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [4.108](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1778.4.108)

> "You attain \[...\] evil destinies": second, rebuking him for not being worthy of offerings. Subhūti thinks that because he has attained the concentration of non-dispute, he is a good field of merit. All sentient beings have also attained this concentration; why say he is not worthy of offerings and not a good field of merit? The fundamental dhyānas, the four immeasurables, and concentrations such as non-dispute have also been experienced and attained by sentient beings over long kalpas. Therefore, the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra says: 'Worldly beings all possess the dhyāna of tasting of the first stage.'
