> Jiachan was the second year of the Guangde era under Emperor Daizong of the Tang. Jinling is the name of a county, located in Changzhou. Folong is on Mount Tiantai. Shenyong's Shansi \[Mountain Record\] states: "Walking two hundred paces south from Xiuchan Monastery, there is a flat boulder as level as if it had been sheared off. An ancient tradition relates that the Buddha once emitted light here; hence it was named Folong \[Buddha Ridge\]." That summer, Jingxi was residing at Xiuchan Monastery.
