> Second, Jingxi's own preface, in two parts: first, the title. Since this is his own preface, the author's title should not be placed \[here\]. For example, Kong Anguo's commentary on the Shangshu, Du Yuankai's Collected Commentaries on the Chunqiu, and He Yan's Collected Explanations of the Lunyu all composed their own prefaces and introductions without writing their names. With Jingxi's broad erudition, he was taking the ancient masters as his model; thus, none of the ancient editions contained the author's name. Where current editions sometimes have it, it was erroneously added by later hands.
