Jingxi says: Regarding 'tallying with and accomplishing' and so forth, it concurrently brings forth various intentions. This uses the initial text on the Tathāgata's response regarding the pure land. If seeing an empty room, one enters the stage of self-benefit. If seeing the King of Lamps and Gandhakūṭa, one then enters the stage of benefiting others. Next, from 'therefore in accordance with' onward, it clarifies that when those who were reproached accomplish their own pure land practices and enter the stage of non-arising, they also attain rebirth in the land of common residence and so forth. Third, from 'Furthermore, in accordance with merit and wisdom' onward, it shows that when those who were reproached accomplish their pure land practices, the sentient beings they gather come to be born in their land. Next, from 'This is' onward, it summarizes the previous intentions.
