> Second, declining as unfit, in two parts: first, directly dividing the sections; second, sequential commentary, in four parts: first, directly declining as unfit; second, recounting the reasons for unfitness, in two parts: first, recounting the intent and dividing the sections; second, sequential textual interpretation, in two parts: first, the elder asks. Regarding "Becoming a wheel-turning king": there are four wheel-turning kings: gold, silver, copper, and iron wheels, ruling over four, three, two, and one world respectively. When about to ascend the throne, they first bathe and fast on a high tower, and the wheel treasure responds naturally, coming from the eastern direction; the seven treasures—ministers, army, elephants, horses, women, and jewels—are all like this, fully as explained in the "Chapter on Noble Conduct" of the Great Sūtra. Sengzhao says: "Had the Buddha not gone forth from home, he should have become a gold-wheel king, ruling over four worlds. Had Rāhula not gone forth from home, he should have become an iron-wheel king, ruling over one world." Because what he renounced was not light and what he anticipated was bound to be momentous, \[the elder\] asked about its benefit.
