> Commentary: Praising and citing the teaching. The nature of dharmas is fundamentally empty: what is present, what has changed? Furthermore, there is nothing that possesses such a characteristic; with respect to all established dharmas, none are present, because they arise anew at every moment. Since they lack a real intrinsic nature, how could they have changed? The older \[translation\] says: "all dharmas are likewise neither present nor absent," because they lack a real nature.
