These are the first two. Anabhisaṃskāra means that there is nothing initiated or produced. With the principle of the cessation of śūnyatā, understanding and contemplating that the self is non-existent, they thus form distinctions. 'Declining' means decaying. When the two vehicles traverse emptiness, they do not give rise to manifold practices; when the bodhisattva gives rise to emptiness, their giving rise to roots of goodness is without abandonment. When the two vehicles traverse the six pāramitās, they then take delight in Nirvāṇa; when the bodhisattva traverses the six pāramitās, they do not take delight in Nirvāṇa, because they abide in non-abiding. The mental activities of sentient beings are the other shore of wondrous wisdom, which is Nirvāṇa.
