- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [6.16](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1785.6.16)

> The son's request is divided into three: first, seeing people contract disease; second, contemplation; third, the actual question. The question is divided into four: the first verse asks about the increase and decrease of the four great elements; the second asks about transgressions and infractions regarding food and drink; the third asks about medical prescriptions for treating disease; the fourth asks about the seasons when diseases arise. 'The fire of the body is not extinguished': when one eats to fullness, the feverish disease temporarily subsides; when the food is digested, the heat arises again; hence it says 'the fire of the body is not extinguished'. 'Water transgressing \[causes\] lung disease': when water is excessive, it harms the lungs, which is phlegm disease.
