- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.38](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1786.1.38)

初、正明數開合。地人者，弘《地論》師也。六事者，一所聞法體、二能持人、三聞持和合、四說教主、五依止處、六聞持伴。或七，則離於我聞。或五，則合於佛處。

> First, directly explaining the division and combination of numbers. 'Dilun masters' refers to the masters who propagated the \*Daśabhūmika-śāstra\*. The six items are: 1. the essence of the Dharma that was heard; 2. the person capable of upholding it; 3. the concord between hearing and upholding; 4. the lord who expounds the teaching; 5. the place relied upon; 6. the companions in hearing and upholding. Or seven, in which case \[they\] separate 'I' from 'heard'. Or five, in which case \[they\] combine 'Buddha' with 'place'.
