- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.65](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1786.3.65)

> Second, from "\[he\] leapt \[with joy\]" downward, joyful delight is explained in terms of entering the ranks. True faith and understanding arise, and one enters the rank of joy—in the Separate Teaching, this is the First Ground, while in the Perfect Teaching, it is the First Abode; both break ignorance, which is called the departure of doubt and perplexity. These all explain the stage of resemblance from the inner ordinary rank. As for "the pinnacle of the ten grounds," if equal enlightenment is not established, it is breaking the delusion of upper-grade ignorance at the tenth ground and ascending to the subsequent mind; this rank is called the vajropama-samādhi, the pinnacle of all subduings. Since it is stirred by the final ignorance, joyful delight and leaping with joy arise.
