> Regarding the conceptions generated upon returning to the palace, there are seven: 1. the conception of getting to see one's original teacher; 2. from 'Having heard the Dharma...' onward, the conception of attaining mahābodhi; 3. from 'which is just the same as encountering...' onward, the conception of getting to see all Buddhas; 4. from 'Today, by means of...' onward, the conception of making offerings to all Buddhas; 5. from 'Today, I permanently...' onward, the conception of permanently leaving the evil destinies—\[namely,\] getting to transcend the evil destinies. The 'realm of King Yama' refers to the division of the three evil \[destinies\], and that destiny is strictly subsumed under the destiny of ghosts. The Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra states: 'Those born in naraka who act as tranquil kings are born in transformed realms of the king. Otherwise, why would they be born in the lowest transformed hell?' Furthermore, \[any other view\] would contradict the Viṃśatikāvijnaptimātratāsiddhi, which does not allow that they undergo suffering together with them. The nineteenth fascicle of the Dīrghāgama, in accordance with the appearance seen by others, says that the king conceives himself as undergoing suffering. 6. From 'which is to have already planted...' onward is the conception of obtaining the stations of various kings. 7. From 'I shall cause immeasurable...' onward is the conception of causing others to obtain benefit.
