> Sūtra: '“At that time the sovereign King Sujāta, / Desiring to make offerings to this sūtra, / Held a wish-fulfilling maṇi pearl in his hand / And made a vow on behalf of all sentient beings: / ‘May there now be rained down everywhere upon this Jambudvīpa / The seven jewels and sets of necklaces, / So that all those who lack wealth and necessities / May obtain peace and joy according to their wishes!’ / Thereupon he rained down the seven jewels everywhere, / Bringing abundance throughout the four continents; / Necklaces adorned their bodies as required, / And clothing, food, and drink were never lacking. / At that time the sovereign King Sujāta, / Seeing these precious jewels raining upon the four continents, / Took them all to make offerings to the Buddha Ratnaśikhin / And to all the bhikṣusaṃgha of his transmitted teaching.”'
