- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.702](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1789.1.702)

> "What is non-duality? It means that all dharmas are like light and shadow, like long and short, like black and white. Mahāmati, all dharmas are non-dual: nirvāṇa is not in saṃsāra, and saṃsāra is not in nirvāṇa; because of their distinct characteristics, they have nature depending on each other. This is called non-duality. Just as it is with nirvāṇa and saṃsāra, so it is with all dharmas. Therefore, one should train in emptiness, non-arising, non-duality, and the characteristic of being free from self-nature."
