> "Existence and nonexistence are two extremes,
> Extending even to the objects of the mind;
> When those objects are purified and removed,
> The equal mind is tranquil and ceased.
> When the nature of objects is not grasped,
> Cessation is not nonexistence;
> Existent entities are all tathatā,
> Like the realm of the worthy and holy.
> Without a seed yet there is arising,
> And having arisen, it ceases again;
> Existence and nonexistence through causes and conditions
> Do not abide in my taught Dharma.
> Neither tīrthikas nor the Buddha,
> Neither self nor other,
> Aggregated and arisen through causes and conditions,
> How could it be nonexistent?
> Who gathers causes and conditions into existence,
> And then again says it is nonexistent?
> Wrong views discuss arising and cessation,
> Vikalpa conceptualizes existence and nonexistence.
> If one knows there is nothing that arises,
> And also nothing that ceases,
> Observing all this as empty and tranquil,
> One leaves behind both existence and nonexistence."
