入楞伽心玄義 1.4

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [1.4](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1790.1.4)

總謂一事，《法華》云「如來唯為一大事因緣出興于世，謂開示悟入佛之知見。」解云：佛意欲令以己所得授與眾生為本意也。

> Generally speaking, it refers to the one great matter, as the Lotus Sūtra says: "The Tathāgata appears in the world solely for the causes and conditions of one great matter, that is, to open, disclose, enlighten to, and enter into the vision and knowledge of the Buddha." In explanation, it means the Buddha's intention is to confer upon sentient beings that which he himself has attained as his fundamental intention.
