- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.92](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1791.2.92)

> Above there was no intermediate text. In general there are three kinds of permanence: first, non-Buddhists positing that the nature of the four great elements is permanent; second, karmic habit-energy continuing and obtaining fruit without interruption, hence permanent; third, the substance of the tathāgatagarbha being truly and constantly abiding, hence permanent. These three permanences are all the false views of foolish people. The old commentary differs regarding the three permanences.
