- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [11.33](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1796.11.33)

> The sūtra says: "Correctly contemplating as before" means mindfulness and recitation in accordance with the method of contemplation explained above. "Make the syllable A oneself, with the dot make it broad, all yellow and extremely delightful. Within the four-cornered vajra marks, contemplate and recite the syllable that radiates light in all places of all buddhas. All these buddhas will speak of their marks themselves." This means visualizing the syllable A, making it deep yellow, its form well-proportioned, dignified, and pleasing, situated in one's own heart. Furthermore, regarding this syllable, the sūtra says "with the dot make it broad": this means adding a dot atop the syllable, where adding signifies "broad". Outside the syllable, one creates a four-cornered vajra balustrade; this balustrade is like three-pronged vajras, interlacing with one another, with the syllable placed in the center. Having seen this syllable A, one immediately transforms this syllable into the form of the deity Vairocana, which means one's own body manifests as identical to the image of the deity, the image being formed strictly in accordance with its original mudrā. The whole body of this buddha radiates light; this is the buddha of the dharmatā seen within the bodhicitta, just like seeing an image of genuine gold inside pure lapis lazuli, unlike the idle imaginations of ordinary mental factors. One should know that to see in this way is to see the buddha of the mind's dharmatā. If the practitioner who performs this siddhi is free from doubt, he can universally bring great benefit to all sentient beings.
