> “At that time Vajrapāṇi again requested the Buddha, saying: ‘I only pray that the World-Honoured One will explain those minds.’ Having spoken thus, the Buddha told Vajrapāṇi, Master of Secrets: ‘Vajrapāṇi, listen attentively! As for the characteristics of the mind, they are the mind of greed, the mind free of greed; the mind of anger, the mind of loving-kindness; the mind of delusion, the mind of wisdom; ... up to: What is the mind of taking birth? It refers to those who cultivate actions and are born accordingly, their minds having the same nature.’ ”
> This answers the phrases regarding the characteristics of the various minds in the previous question. First, it lists the names of the sixty minds, and next explains their characteristics.
