> The preceding 'quiescent extinction manifesting before me' is the virtue of severance; the fundamentally enlightened wondrous mind is the virtue of wisdom; the two powers of loving-kindness and compassion are the virtue of benevolence. Since it is perfect cultivation, the three virtues are perfectly realized, thereby transcending worldly ordinary beings and supramundane followers of the three vehicles; this is the supreme vehicle, which only a Buddha and a Buddha can exhaustively fathom. 'Throughout the ten directions, there was perfect luminosity': realizing this realm, one sees that within the ten dharmadhātus and the three kinds of worlds, there is nothing that is not Thusness, nothing that does not become a Buddha. Because it is perfect, no virtue is lacking; because it is luminous, no obstacle is unexhausted. Unconditioned loving-kindness and compassion are the marks of the Buddha's mind; endowed with all virtues, they are foremost among virtues. Being supreme among supreme dharmas, they are called 'extraordinary supremacies.' The fundamentally wondrous enlightened mind is one's own mind, which is non-dual and perfectly complete with all Tathāgatas; realized directly today, it is called 'uniting.' Because of uniting, one attains bliss, and therefore shares the power of loving-kindness. All sentient beings are also this mind, without duality or difference, and thus one also unites with them. Because of uniting, seeing that they fundamentally attain the Buddha-path yet vainly drift in saṃsāra, they are deserving of sorrowful yearning. The subsequent manifestations to alleviate suffering both flow and unfold from these two.
