Precept twenty-two: Begging for a bowl. Six conditions: first, already possessing a consecrated bowl; second, having fewer than five mends and not leaking; third, begging from a non-relative; fourth, doing so for oneself; fifth, begging for a bowl conforming to Dharma; sixth, receiving it constitutes the offense. If it has full five mends and does not leak, it is a duṣkṛta. Because this circumstance is rare, it is treated in detail in the Precept Commentary. Vinaya allowances: having five mends and leaking, or having fewer \[mends\] and leaking, seeking a new one; begging from relatives, begging from monastics; doing so for another, another doing so for oneself, receiving it without asking, or buying and keeping it with one's own means; none are offenses.
