> In the explanation, the Five-Part Vinaya says: Any one person in the assembly may admonish her. 'Without using words' means that it does not require a senior monk to admonish. In the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya: An exception after three admonitions is out of fear that the proper mealtime will pass. The Commentary says: 'Hearing the admonition and not stopping is not the assembly tolerating evil; therefore, they are permitted to eat' (in the Dharmaguptaka, not stopping after one admonition is also an exception). In the Daśādhyāya-vinaya: Asking separately in two places is out of fear that the two places do not know each other.
