例證中二，初約懺重例。又下，打謗例。九十中打比丘，及僧殘謗二戒，大僧不簡淨穢。若下，反質。打謗三眾，竝吉羅故。

> In the analogical proof, there are two points: first, it draws an analogy from repenting grave offenses. Below "Moreover," it is the analogy of striking and slandering. Among the ninety \[pāyattikas\], striking a bhikṣu, and among the saṃghāvaśeṣas, slandering—in these two precepts, the fully ordained monk is considered without distinguishing pure or defiled. Following "If," it questions inversely: because striking and slandering members of the three assemblies are all duṣkṛtas.
