> In the next section, in the \*Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā\*, it first explains the method of seeking a place. Under 'Whenever...', it next explains the method of using water. 'Fine cotton' must now be dense silk. 'Precept-holder' excludes precept-breakers, because they treat creature life lightly. 'Careful and meticulous' further excludes the frivolous and hasty among precept-holders. 'Therefore there are those as before' refers to abandoning it to dig another well, and so forth. In the \*Mahāsāṃghika\*, 'insects too minute' is judged according to what is retained in the filter bag; if one speaks of the divine eye, how could what is seen ever be exhausted!
