> In "Citing Exhortations": That vinaya explains that this bird's wings span five hundred and fifty yojanas, and it feeds on dragons. When it wants to seize a dragon, it parts the seawater by fanning with its wings, and the dragon palace immediately appears. Because the dragons fear this, they seek a piece of kaṣāya to place upon the palace gate; seeing it, the bird gives rise to reverence and does not dare to seize them for food. Also, at times a dragon took a kaṣāya, placed it upon its head, and walked along the shore, and the bird was unable to harm it. This is because manufacturing it according to the Dharma brings about remarkable efficacy; hence it is cited to admonish them.
