四分律行事鈔資持記 3.52

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [3.52](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1805.3.52)

六中，初明制刺。却即是倒，謂倒針刺。異俗者，彼唯直縫故。防外道者，有比丘直縫衣，為彼抽線使零脫故。又下，明補衣亦刺。四下，準決本宗。

> In the sixth \[section\], it first explains the prescribed stitching. Que (却) means reverse; that is, stitching with reverse stitches. "To differ from the worldly": because they only stitch straight. "To guard against non-Buddhists": there were bhikṣus who stitched robes straight, and \[non-Buddhists\] pulled out the threads to make them unravel and fall apart. "Furthermore... below" explains that mending robes also uses \[such\] stitching. "Four... below" decisively resolves \[the issue\] according to our own school.
