> If he touches the four \[types of\] women, upon contact it is a saṃghāvaśeṣa. If a woman touches the bhikṣu, if he moves his body, he shares the same offense; if he does not move his body, he commits only a duṣkṛta; if he beforehand had a defiled mind, it is a sthūlātyaya. Mutual touching through clothing is a sthūlātyaya; if both have clothing, a duṣkṛta. If he touches a person of dual gender, it is a sthūlātyaya. If with lustful intent he touches a man’s body, or clothing, sitting mats, or even touching himself or an animal, all are duṣkṛtas. For a nun, it is a pārājika. For the lower three assemblies, a duṣkṛta. Cases of non-offense: taking and giving items, or touching in play and jest.
