> The second is the precept on physical contact. According to the Vinaya, if both are unclothed and touch each other, it incurs a saṃghāvaśeṣa; if one has clothing and the other does not, a sthūlātyaya; if both have clothing, a duṣkṛta. Hair and nails are still parts of the body, so they incur a saṃghāvaśeṣa. According to the Samantapāsādikā, hair touching hair or nail touching nail incurs only a sthūlātyaya, because neither has sensation; if one has sensation, it is a saṃghāvaśeṣa, as stated in the precept text. The fifth chapter of the Mahāsāṃghika\[-vinaya\] states: "'Woman' refers to mother, daughter, sister, relatives, non-relatives, elder or younger, lay or ordained—all incur a transgression." According to the Vinaya, touching a deceased woman who is mostly undecomposed also incurs a saṃghāvaśeṣa.
