If the peril is still distant and permits a full recitation, one should recite in full. If the peril is near and three recitations cannot be made, recite twice; if two recitations cannot be made, recite once; if not \[even once\], it is to be treated according to the Dharma. If the peril is so close that one cannot make even a single recitation, the bhikṣus should immediately make an announcement for each to make three utterances of pravāraṇā together.
