> Third, from "Buddha-sons, listen attentively!" onward is the summary conclusion encouraging study. Within this there are four parts: First, citing that the Buddhas all recite it together, meaning that the Buddhas and bodhisattvas of the three periods of time as well as our Śākyamuni, whether in the cause or in the fruition, all recite it together; thus we know it is essential and supreme. Second, from "All of you..." onward, encouraging the assembly to uphold it, meaning citing those assemblies and briefly exhorting them to perform five actions: 1. receiving and upholding, where receiving means accepting and taking it in, and upholding means not forgetting; 2. reading; 3. reciting; 4. explaining; 5. copying. Third, from "Buddha-nature..." onward, explaining the unceasing circulation, where "the Buddha-nature is eternally abiding" explains that the Dharma of principle is serene and clear; "the scroll of the precepts circulates..." and so forth explains that the Dharma of teaching is transmitted and disseminated. Another explanation is that the Buddha-nature is the inherent cause for attaining Buddhahood, while the scroll of the precepts is the external condition of transmission and reception, meaning transmitted from the past to the present, and from the present into the future, successively transmitted and received from one to another; thus it says "unceasing." Fourth, from "attaining sight of..." onward, explaining the benefits of transmission, meaning that within this there are three \[benefits\]: 1. the benefit of seeing Buddhas, meaning being able to see the thousand Buddhas of this bhadrakalpa successively transmitting it; 2. the benefit of being forever separated from bad destinies; 3. the benefit of being born in good destinies, meaning being born among humans and so forth as a bodily vessel for the path, a place where sentient beings are gathered in. Above, the main body of the text has been concluded in full.
