> "What are the ten? First, non-retrogression in abiding in hearing the Dharma, as the sūtra says: 'All having attained dhāraṇī.' Second, non-retrogression in delight in expounding, as the sūtra says: 'Great eloquence and delight in expounding.' Third, non-retrogression in expounding, as the sūtra says: 'Turning the non-retrograde wheel of Dharma.' Fourth, non-retrogression in relying upon good spiritual friends, through gathering with one's own physical and mental actions based on the physical body, as the sūtra says: 'Making offerings to immeasurable hundreds of thousands of buddhas' and planting roots of goodness in the presence of the buddhas. Fifth, non-retrogression in cutting off all doubts, as the sūtra says: 'Constantly praised by the buddhas.' Sixth, non-retrogression in entering into those various dharmas for whatever affairs they preach the Dharma, as the sūtra says: 'Cultivating body and mind with great compassion.' Seventh, non-retrogression in entering the realm of thusness of all-knowledge, as the sūtra says: 'Skillfully entering the buddha-wisdom.' Eighth, non-retrogression in relying on the emptiness of self and the emptiness of dharmas, as the sūtra says: 'Penetrating great wisdom.' Ninth, non-retrogression in entering the realm of thusness, as the sūtra says: 'Reaching the other shore.' Tenth, non-retrogression in performing what ought to be performed and sustaining what has been done, as the sūtra says: 'Their fame widely heard throughout immeasurable worlds, able to save immeasurable hundreds of thousands of sentient beings.'"
