> Ambrosia is the medicine of longevity of the devas. Once the power of forbearance is accomplished, it benefits the dharmakāya and prolongs the wisdom-life; hence enduring malicious abuse is compared to drinking ambrosia. If not for their humiliation, how could my forbearance be revealed? The meaning of the simile of a pig rubbing against a gold mountain can be understood from this. If it is not so, one lacks the wisdom that realizes the Dao and is called an ordinary, foolish person.
