- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [19.215](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1821.19.215)

> On the passage from "Namely, if someone asks" to "should only be set aside": an answer. The world, the Tathāgata, and the living soul after death are all synonyms for the self, because non-Buddhists grasp at these as the self. The four on the permanence of the world, the four on having an end, and the four on existence \[after death\] make three times four, twelve. Together with the living soul being identical with the body, and the living soul being different from the body, this makes up the previous fourteen. Namely, if someone asks whether the world is permanent and so forth, this question is one that should only be set aside.
