> Regarding '\[Among unconditioned dharmas... because they are established by mutual opposition\]': this specifically explains unconditioned \[dharmas\]. Among unconditioned \[dharmas\], acquisition and non-acquisition apply only to the two cessations. Cessation through deliberation is a dharma to be realized; it has acquisition and non-acquisition. Cessation not through deliberation obstructs \[dharmas\] so that dharmas do not arise; it has acquisition and non-acquisition. From 'all' onward, it establishes the proof that, moment by moment, because of a lack of conditions \[dharmas\] definitely do not arise, and therefore all sentient beings definitely possess uncontaminated cessation not through deliberation. Those who had not previously severed defilements and now newly enter the noble state, being in the stage of the acceptance of the doctrine of suffering, are called the 'noble ones with full fetters of the initial moment', because they fully possess defilements in their bodies. As for all other ordinary persons with full fetters who have not severed the two classes of defilements to be abandoned by vision and by cultivation of the three realms, they do not possess cessation through deliberation. Except for these two kinds, all other sentient beings possess cessation through deliberation. From 'definitely' onward, it specifically explains why space has neither acquisition nor non-acquisition. Space is not something to be realized, unlike cessation through deliberation; nor can it obstruct dharmas from arising, unlike cessation not through deliberation. Therefore, it has neither acquisition nor non-acquisition.
