- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [9.93](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1821.9.93)

> "The treatise says... is collectively called the king's going": the text explaining the twelve links has twelve \[parts\]; this is the first. All the five aggregates in the stage of the afflictions generating karma in beginningless past lives, up to the stage of the ripening of the present five effects, are collectively called 'ignorance', because those five aggregates operate concurrently with ignorance, and through the power of ignorance those five aggregates actively arise. Because ignorance is predominant, the name is established from the predominant. The analogy can be understood.
