俱舍論疏 12.77

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [12.77](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1822.12.77)

論「然諸獨覺至轉名獨勝」，此下明二種獨覺。麟角喻，謂出無佛世，獨一而出。部行獨覺，先是預流果聲聞，彼後無佛時進得勝果，故名獨覺。此是一釋。

> On the Śāstra's text, "However, among all pratyekabuddhas... is subsequently named a pratyekajina": From here below explains the two kinds of pratyekabuddha. The rhinoceros-horn-like (khaḍgaviṣāṇakalpa) refers to appearing in a world without a Buddha and arising entirely solitary. The group-living (vargacārin) pratyekabuddha was previously a śrāvaka at the fruit of stream-entry (srotāpanna); later, in a time without a Buddha, they advance to attain the superior fruit, and are therefore named a pratyekabuddha. This is one explanation.
