- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [19.90](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1822.19.90)

> On the text stating, "Because it is perishable (sat)... only then does one cling to a self": the author of the treatise cites the Sautrāntika explanation, which is clear from the text. The \*Nyāyānusāra\* refutes this, saying: "If so, what is the use of prefixing the sound \*sat\*? The word \*kāya\* alone would suffice to exclude permanence, and one should therefore only establish the name \*kāyadṛṣṭi\*. No non-existent phenomenon is eternal yet capable of aggregation; what is the use of marking the body with the sound of 'perishing'?"
