> On the Śāstra's statement, "One should know that here... because of suffering through conditioned forces, it is suffering": This explains an implicit objection. The implicit objection means: If all contaminated phenomena, because they are conditioned by multiple causes and are impermanent by nature, are entirely suffering through conditioned forces, then agreeable and disagreeable phenomena should also be suffering through conditioned forces; why are they spoken of as the suffering of change and the suffering of suffering? The explanation says: Agreeable phenomena have two sufferings, change and conditioned forces; the suffering of change is distinct, while the suffering through conditioned forces is common. Disagreeable phenomena have two meanings: the suffering of suffering and suffering through conditioned forces. The suffering of suffering is distinct, while the suffering through conditioned forces is common. Based on the principle of the distinct, the suffering of change and the suffering of suffering are spoken of; in actual truth, everything is suffering through conditioned forces.
