- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [30.16](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1822.30.16)

> On the Śāstra's statement: "Who says there is none? \[...\] because in principle they are substantially real": The author of the Śāstra clarifies. I do not say there are no spontaneously born beings; as the Buddha stated: 'I say they exist.' What the Buddha said refers to the continuity of aggregates capable of going to future lives without depending on womb, egg, or moisture, which is called a spontaneously born being. Because the spontaneously born aggregates are in principle substantially real, denying their existence is subsumed under wrong view; it does not refer to a real self.
