- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [8.72](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1822.8.72)

> On the Śāstra's statement: "Kashmir ... non-obscured and neutral": this again cites a sūtra to prove that it is non-obscured and neutral. Because this sūtra was recited by the Sarvāstivādins, it says "recited by the Vaibhāṣikas". Since the sūtra says that once maturation has arisen it is called \*naraka\*, it is known that the essence of a destiny is precisely of a neutral nature that is maturation. "In \*naraka\*" is the name of the hell location; \*nāraka\* is the name of the destiny of sentient beings. Karma arising from deceit is called "crooked"; karma arising from hatred is called "filthy"; karma arising from greed is called "turbid".
