> "The liberation of the cessation of sensation and ideation arises immediately after the extremely subtle \[mind\]": regarding the liberation of the cessation concentration, some explain that it turns away from sensation and ideation; some explain that it turns away from all minds that have an intentional object; some explain that it is liberated from the hindrances to concentration; hence it is called a liberation. This concentration manifests immediately after an extremely subtle mind. Minds entering the concentration of cessation are of three kinds in total: first, the mind with ideation; second, the subtle mind; third, the extremely subtle mind. Compared to the mind with ideation, the previous one was already called subtle; this one is even more subtle, hence called extremely subtle. One enters the concentration of cessation from the extremely subtle mind.
