> 'The objective support is all dharmas' means that all dharmas serve as objective supports for minds and mental factors. The nature of minds and mental factors is frail; they arise only by grasping an object, just as a frail person cannot stand without a staff. Thus all dharmas, being clung to by consciousness, are called objective supports. This objective-support sphere has a distinct entity, and because it is the condition that gives rise to minds and mental factors, it is called the objective-support condition.
