- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [11.69](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.11.69)

景云：凡受苦觸計我怨嗟，必在盛年已去，故言猛利體受所觸計我我所等，現所受苦乃是前業所感，遇此報苦不知何從，故名癡異熟生苦。

> Jing says: whenever one experiences painful contact and conceives a self and laments, this must occur after one's prime of life; hence it says that being touched by a sharply painful physical feeling, one conceives a self and what belongs to a self, and so forth. The suffering experienced in the present is in fact induced by past karma; encountering this suffering of retribution, one does not know where it came from, hence it is named the suffering born of the ripening of delusion.
