> Ji says: "As elsewhere, the unveiled has five kinds; why does it not discuss the self-nature indeterminate? The meaning is: its self-nature indeterminate consists of material dharmas such as nourishing and outflowing; here it explains mind, which is why it is not included. If so, under which indeterminate are minds such as adherence to dharmas subsumed? As in the Buddhabhūmi-śāstra, because they are of the category of fruition-born, they are gathered under fruition-indeterminate. The path of deportment, the domain of technical art, and so on can be understood. Although the desire realm has transformation minds, they are not fruition of supernormal powers, because they lack applied preparation; since a mind that is the fruition of supernormal powers is necessarily produced through applied preparation, and when entering absorption, there is no applied preparation of the desire realm. Thus minds that are the fruition of supernormal powers are not bound to the desire realm; there are only the transformations of devas, nāgas, yakṣas, and the like, which are solely born of acquisition—namely, being able to transform into various transformed classes such as human forms, not fruition-born."
