瑜伽論記 16.68

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [16.68](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.16.68)

> "The first two dhyānas have eighteen": this excludes the male, female, grief, and suffering \[faculties\]. Previously it was said that the phenomena bound \[to a realm\] are exclusively tainted, but here it is said that the phenomena belonging to a stage comprise both tainted and taintless; thus the upper and lower \[passages\] differ, yet there is no error. The third and fourth \[dhyānas\] respectively exclude joy and pleasure. Jing says: The unarrived of the first dhyāna establishes joy like its root, and the second dhyāna is also like this; the unarrived of the third dhyāna establishes pleasure, and the unarrived of the fourth dhyāna establishes equanimity.
