> Within the third section, which explains the three quests: the quest for sensual pleasures refers to the five objects of sensual desire. There are five. From the first, 'quest for acquisition', up to the fifth, 'quest for fame': seeking for the sake of acquisition is like seeking wives and children; seeking for the sake of enjoyment is like seeking wealth and grain; seeking for the sake of amusement is like seeking instruments of pleasure—these three are easily understood. Fourth, 'quest due to lack of comprehension' means seeking knowledge and understanding because one lacks comprehension. 'Quest for fame' means seeking reputation and renown.
