> Third, explaining bound and unbound: The one that is bound exclusively to the desire realm is \[the direct realization through\] reflection. That which has one part of one type \[bound\] or is bound to the three realms is \[the direct realization through\] faith. Regarding "this one part and the other three—these four are unbound": that is, this one part of faith, as well as the three consisting of the direct realizations through morality, knowledge of the truths, and subsequent \[knowledge\]—these four are unbound. Regarding "one comprises both bound and unbound": the ultimate direct realization, by virtue of the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising, comprises both the mundane and the supramundane; if mundane it is bound, and if supramundane it is unbound.
