- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [19.51](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.19.51)

> In the second set: first, in order to leave afflictions, one inclines toward the forest hermitage; second, wishing to escape saṃsāra, one leaves home and receives the prātimokṣa precepts; third, having escaped saṃsāra, one enters the palace of nirvāṇa, which is called 'inclining toward nirvāṇa'. The name of nirvāṇa has, in brief, five inclinations: 1. sensation is the shadow of contact, and the cessation of all sensations is called 'shadowless'; 2. the continuum is the body, and the cessation of the body is called 'tranquil cessation'; the latter three names may be understood as in the text.
