> Regarding "If \[you\] say that it is different, is that manifestation uncaused, etc.?": This asks whether the manifestation of the effect has a cause or is uncaused. If \[you\] say it is uncaused, \[yet\] you say that the intrinsic nature of the effect originally exists and is manifested by relying on conditions, then manifestation has a cause; saying that this manifestation is uncaused is unreasonable. The syllogism is: The dharma of the effect should have been manifested from the outset, because manifestation is uncaused, just as at the time of subsequent manifestation; or, it should not be manifested now, because it lacks a cause of manifestation, just as when it was not yet manifested.
