瑜伽論記 2.228

- **Language:** Classical Chinese

### [2.228](https://indike.org/pramana/in.bauddha.taisho.1828.2.228)

言若不起者，則非撥現量等者，現量現見遠杌為人，便於無情起有情覺故，為不起者名非現量。此中，亦有世間相違，略故不說。

> As for the statement ‘If it does not arise, it then repudiates direct perception, etc.’: direct perception directly sees a distant post as a person, and thus regarding an insentient thing gives rise to the awareness of a sentient being; therefore, to say it does not arise is called denying direct perception. Here, there is also a contradiction with worldly consensus, but it is not mentioned because it is abbreviated.
